Many small charter yachts offer a quick trip from San Francisco or Sausalito out to pass under the Golden Gate Bridge and then return. We can take you under the bridge or explore the Golden Gate as well – but we think there is more enjoyment to be had in a longer voyage that can include an extra event as well as a good look at the famous bridge.
Are you Giants fans? We can sail you to the ball game if you book the seats! Berthing at South Beach marina for an afternoon game and avoiding all the traffic congestion, we’ll sail you back afterwards.
Baseball and sailing make a great San Francisco combination. Snacks, drinks and pickup/dropoffpoints are all negotiable, depending on how much you like stadium hot dogs, beer and garlic fries!
Like to Hike and Picnic? Angel Island State Park in San Francisco Bay is covered with hiking trails and history, offering some of the best views in the area from the top of Mt. Livermore. The harbor at Ayala Cove has docks, picnic tables and a small beach.
Or extend your route for this trip to include a sail around nearby Alcatraz Island for a close-up look at the famous prison.
How about sailing to Napa for wine tasting? Did you know that it’s possible –and fun! – to sail up the Napa River to the town of Napa, bicycle to several exclusive small-production wineries (by appointment only) and then return? This is an overnight adventure requiring a stay on board or in a local inn. Return can be by boat or car (an hour back to Tiburon), and if you don’t like bicycles we can get you a limo! All the details are flexible and negotiable for this unique adventure, which requires some advance planning.
Getting married? Hoping she’ll say yes? If you want to pop the big question in a romantic setting or have a small wedding on the water instead of inside City Hall, we can customize the experience to create a life-long memory. We can cater and even bring the photographer. Though it’s a myth that boat captains can perform official weddings, our captain is legally ordained to officiate –no problem!
Still just want to see the Golden Gate and the San Francisco city front? We aim to please and can easily plan a two-bridge cruise that provides a great view of the city, the Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge. And we’ll throw in Alcatraz. Weather and tidal currents permitting, we can go out to explore the Golden Gate to the edge of the ocean.
Scattering ashes at sea? Burial of ashes at sea is a consoling option when a loved one passes, and we can provide that last voyage and take up to six family members along to solemnize your family member’s passing.
We are working in cooperation with Golden Gate Burial Services (www.ggbs.us) to provide this service.
